Download Play Store for Samsung

Samsung mobile devices are one of the top phones that run on the Android operating system. However, you might have a Samsung device without the Google Play Store app pre-installed.

Some Samsung devices lack essential Google Services because they are rooted, Google Play app deleted or Samsung devices from markets like China.

If you have a Samsung device without the Play Store, you can download and install the up to date Play Store app through an APK file. Click on the “Download” button to directly download the official Play Store APK file.

The process holds for all Samsung devices. You can install the Google Play Store on multiple Samsung devices such as: Samsung J3, J5, A10, A21, A31, A51, A70, A71, S9, S10, S20 and many more.

However, there might be slight differences in some steps due to different product lines, models, and Android Versions, but the method is fundamentally the same across Samsung devices.

You can download and install the Google Play Store on your Samsung device with the following steps:

Step 1: Download Google Play Store APK

Using the “Download” button on this website, download the latest version of the Google Play Store APK. Click on the Download button and follow the instructions to download the file.

Step 2: Give Permission to Install Apps from Unknown Sources

To install files from external sources, you have to turn on "Install unknown apps". Go to Settings > Security and select "Unknown sources".

Let's take a look at how you can do this on both old and newer versions of Android OS.

The steps to enable installation from unknown sources are different on pre-Oreo (before Android 8.0) and post-Oreo (from Android 8.0) devices.

Step 3: Install the Google Play Store APK you Downloaded
